Project Outline

“Aiming to give a special museum experience to every child.”

A learning collaboration between adults and children encountering real things at the museum

“Aiming to give a special museum experience to every child.” With this in mind, the nine cultural institutions of Ueno Park began the “Museum Start iUeno” project. For children, encountering the precious objects on display presents an opportunity to participate in the society in which they live, while deepening their interest in cultural assets. At the museum, children may touch upon new people, objects, and events — encountering a diverse world beyond their daily lives, acquiring the power to create our societies to come. A museum visit for every child. We have put into our project name, Museum Start, our hope to provide a positive first museum experience for all children. “Museum Start iUeno” is an undertaking aiming to realize the adventures children and adults can embark on together, with the museum as their stage.
